Our goal as a school counselor is to counsel students to fully develop each student's academic, college and career and social abilities. Counselors will participate in planning and implementing programs and be an advocate for all students to ensure that students acquire the attitudes, skills and knowledge that are essential in the 21st century. We care about students, from the time they enter school through graduation and beyond.

College Awareness: ongoing and annual focus to get students thinking about future higher education.
- Duke Talent Identification Program: 7th grade search only for students to qualify to take the ACT/SAT test early.
- Family Access: Parents can view their child’s grades
- Friends Of Rachel: Campus club that promotes kindness and compassion on campus
- Guidance Programs: We Help Ourselves, individual and small group counseling
- Mediation: Counselor mediates between two individuals with a conflict
- Mentoring: Community members meet with a student 30 minutes per week to provide friendship and support.
- Peer Mediation: Student-to-student mediation to promote leadership and responsibility.
- Student Access: Students can view their own grades and attendance
- UIL Academics: Competition in 15 different academic areas to promote excellence outside the classroom
