As a public school system, Rockwall schools welcome all students who live within the boundaries of the Rockwall Independent School District and meet state age and health requirements.
Registration Schedule
Early registration for new elementary students enrolling in Rockwall ISD is posted in April each year. Summer registration for new students elementary through high school is posted in May. Age Requirements
Any child who is five years of age on or before September 1 may enter kindergarten. A child must be six years old on or before September 1 to enter the first grade.
Immunization Requirements
For the protection of children, state law and district policy require parents to provide proof that each student enrolled in school has been fully immunized. For more information, visit

Designated school attendance zones enable the District to make the best use of faculty, staff, and facilities. Students attend their neighborhood elementary school and designated middle school.
